As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. GAMALIEL (AR), AR

Description

Gamaliel Campground is located on Norfork Lake in north central Arkansas. Norfork Lake has great appeal to the sportsmen, fishing, scuba-diving, bird watcher, boating, naturalist, or those who just want to "get away from it all." Hiking, all types of water sports, and hunting in season are featured attractions. Gamaliel Campground offers 64 campsites with electric hookups. Additional amenities include swim beach, showers, flush toilet, a dump station, group shelter, playground, launch ramp, and a marina.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.

  • This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends, and a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.

Reservations are taken from May 17 through September 13. Sites are $16. ; sites may be available on a first come-first served basis outside the reservation season.
No all-terrain vehicles, or livestock allowed.
Park attendants on duty from 10am-6pm.
Single site occupancy is limited to 10 people and 2 camping units (1 wheeled unit and 1 tent, or 2 tents).
