Campers must leave the campground for 1 day after their maximum length of stay.



The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (CNNF) has prohibited the possession, storage or transportation of any firewood that originates from outside the state of Wisconsin or that originates from more than 25 miles from the destination point. The exception is firewood gathered on the CNNF. This is to prevent the spread the Emerald Ash Borer and other exotic insect pests. Firewood is available at or near camping facilities.
Pets are allowed but must be leashed and not left unattended.
No firearms or fireworks allowed in campground.

Drive approximately 10 miles east from Eagle River on Highway 70. Turn right (south) on Military Road which is Forest Road 2178. Follow Military Road for about 2 miles to Butternut Lake Road (Forest Road 2181 Follow Butternut Lake Road to the campground.
