Reservations must be made at least four days in advance, Golden Age/Access Passports not accepted for Group Shelter Reservations. Reservations taken from 1 May until 30 September only. No Alcohol Pets must be leashed at all times. Domestic pets only. NO ATV's or ORV's allowed. Please bring your confirmation letter. Shelter #1 and #2 are located at the Dam Site Recreation Area. Shelter #3 is located at the Grapevine Recreation Area.

Fishtrap Lakes' Dam Site Recreation Area is located 14 miles from Pikeville, Kentucky-Route from Pikeville to Fishtrap Lake Dam Site Area is via US Route 23 South 7 Miles to US Route 460 East 4 Miles to State Route 1499 then 3 Miles to the Fishtrap Lake Dam Site Recreation Area. Shelter # 1 is the first shelter on your right as one enters the lower area. This is the first right turn as one enters the Dam Site Recreation Area located approximately one mile below the dam. Located along the same roadway Shelter #2 is the second shelter on your right near the end of the recreation area. Fishtrap Lakes' Grapevine Recreation Area is located along State Route 194 at Phyllis, Kentucky. Shelter # 3 is located on the right approximately 1/4 mile from the entrance area.
