Description

Due to lower lake levels, Fishing Creek's launching ramp and swimming beach are unusable. For more information about the lower lake levels, please visit the US Army Corps of Engineers website at http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/WolfCreek/ Fishing Creek Campground is located on Highway 1248 off of Highway 80 just west of Somerset, Kentucky. The campground provides 27 RV sites and 20 tent only sites. The campground is situated in a hardwood forests and overlooks Fishing Creek, a creek off of beautiful Lake Cumberland. Fishing Creek has a day use area with a swimming beach, picnic sites, playground and parking lot with space for 37 cars and 11 trailers.

Alerts and Important Information

  • NO SHOW: If a camper is running late or needs to do next day arrival please call the campground at 606/679-5174 and let the park attendant know. Failure to do so will result in a No Show status and the campsite may be re-opened for reservations.
  • This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends and a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.
  • No unlicensed motorized vehicles (ATV's, Scooters, Golf Carts, etc.) are allowed to be operated in or on public property including campground.
  • A visitor fee of $3.00 per vehicle applies at this campground. Visitors must park at the campsite if space is available or provided parking lots.
  • Each site is limited to 6 people and two vehicles. A campsite may have two camping units. All vehicles and camping equipment must fit on the designated site pad.
  • Quiet hours are in effect from 10pm to 6am.
  • Pets must be on a leash and controlled at all times.
  • Firewood Quarantine: To protect our forest; NO FIREWOOD transported from out of state is allowed.

From Somerset, KY, take Hwy 80 west for 5 miles, turn right on Highway 1248 for 2 miles. The recreation area entrance will be on the left side of the road at the bottom of the hill.
