Description
Located in the Southeastern Ozark foothills of Missouri, the Eagle Point Recreation Area on the Wappapello Lake Project is a place the whole family can enjoy. This day use area is an excellent location for weddings, family reunions, or just a family outing. This area includes a scenic overlook, large picnic shelter, volleyball court, and restroom.

There is no overnight camping allowed.

From St. Louis: Take I-55 south to Route 67, then go south on 67 to
Highway D. Take Highway D south for 20 miles to the intersection
of D and T. Look for signs.
From Poplar Bluff: Take Route 60 east to Route T. Take Route T north
for 22 miles and watch for the signs.

Groups, organizations and individuals volunteer to team up in helping to clean up roadways that surround the Wappapello Lake area.
on Apr 03 2010 - 32nd Annual Old Greenville Black Powder Rendezvous
This is the longest consecutive rendezvous in the state of Missouri and it is held in the Greenville Recreation Area. There will be crafts, demonstrations, shooting competitions, traders and food for all representing the mid 1800's time period. This event held a the Redman Creek Recreation Area consists of a variety of recreational activities for the mentally and physically challenged i.e. fishing, archery and pellet shoot, dutch oven cooking, building birdhouses etc. This event is free to attend.

Many activities will be happening during this day long celebration including a car show, live music, children's games and informational booths at the Redman Recreation Area. Free to attend.
on Jun 12 2010 - Kids Fishing Derby
Event is open to all children under the age of 16. This event includes not only fishing activities but also archery and pellet gun shooting. This event will be held at the Redman and Spillway Recreation Areas.
on Jun 19 2010 - Ranger Willie's Wet and Wiild Waterfest
A variety of family oriented water safety games and activities such as tug of war, PFD fashion show, dunking booth, canoe/inner tube racing, card board boat building/racing, sand sculpturing and much more will be held at the Redman Creek Beach Area. This event is free to attend.

Living history of the early 1900's. This event held at the Greenville Recreation Area consists of arts/crafts, civil war and rendezvous living history, live musical entertainment (bluegrass, country, gospel, clogging, etc.) and food. Groups, organizations and individuals volunteer to help to conduct trail maintenance and cleanup along the shoreline and designated roadways at Wappapello Lake.
