EAGLE GLACIER CABIN (AK), AKDescriptionClick here for more cabin information and maps. Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, propane wall furnace and an outside toilet. It does not have mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring their own sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, cooking gear and food. The person holding the reservation must be 18, and must be a member of the party using the cabin. Use of this cabin by a commercial operator, such as an outfitter or guide, is NOT allowed. There are NO discounts for Golden Age or Golden Access Passports for Alaskan cabin rentals. Activities: Hiking, skiing, berry picking. Glacial valley, spruce-hemlock forest with dense alder and willow patches, black and brown bear. Trail follows path of retreating glacier, go back in time through plant succession. Beautiful view of glacier, lake, and mountains. Access year round, trail hard to follow in winter. Propane for furnace is provided.Effective November 17, 2003, reservations for Alaska cabins will be subject to a new policy allowing only one change per reservation. A change in reservation is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation. After one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the reservation and at a later time, re-book the new dates. This policy has been established to assure that reservations for cabins are fair and equitable for everyone.
