As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. Description

Dyers Creek Recreation Area is on scenic Lake Barkley 1 mile from Dover, TN. The shelter has a fantastic view of the water nestled in wooded, rolling hills. Visitors here enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming as well as many other activities. An abundance of wildlife can be seen including the occasional deer. One group picnic shelter is available for reservation. Whether it's a family picnic and a BBQ with a group of friends, Dyers Creek provides the perfect setting for a relaxing get together.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. The recreation area is open 1 Apr-31 Oct and the shelter may be reserved for $35/day. The shelter will accommodate up to 100 people and 50 vehicles. Check in time is 8am and check out time is 10pm. More information about this area may be obtained by calling (270) 362-4236.
