As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. FIREWOOD ALERT!!!!!: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers would like for you to be aware of the potential serious threat to our Nation's forest from the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). The EAB is a small insect that feeds on and kills ash trees and is transported via infested wood products, including firewood. Please visit the following website: http://www.emeraldashborer.info/ , to see if your area of the state has been infected and help us to slow down the progression of this pest by not bringing firewood with you to our campgrounds. To help eliminate the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer please do not remove firewood from the campground "burn it".

Description

No vehicles allowed to drive or park on the grass. Vehicles must be parked in designated parking places. The shelters have 6 tables and will accommodate approximately 50 people. There are volleyball courts at the reservable shelters. A large public beach with showers, picnic sites, picnic shelter (PS4), volleyball court, and playground is in the area. Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. The shelters are available from March 1 to November 30 each year, except PS4. This shelter opens the 3rd weekend in April and closes the 2nd weekend in September. The shelter fee is $30 per day. No alcohol permitted in beach area. All equipment must fit on the site pad.
