Description

Located on the western slope of the Colorado Rockies, 5 miles southeast of the city of Aspen. Situated at a high elevation, in the aspen, cottonwood, pine, fir, scrub oak and some spruce trees. Campground is on the Roaring Fork River. Restrooms are provided. Campground radius turns are tight for large RVs, and brush encroaches on roadways and spurs. Firewood is available for sale at the site.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holiday weekends. This campground has a 5 day stay limit. This campground has first-come, first-serve sites. Check in with camp host before proceeding to site. Highway 82, beyond the campground, cannot accommodate vehicles over 30 feet in length. There is no electricity/water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground. Sites may be available on a first come - first served basis outside the reservation season.
