During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. DENBY POINT (AR), AR

Description

Denby Point campground is located on Lake Ouachita. The lake at normal power pool extends approximately 30 miles and has a water surface of 40,000 acres. Visitors enjoy fishing, skiing, scuba diving, boating, and other water activities. Bald Eagles are an attraction for the visitors during the winter. The campground consists of 67 sites, 59 with electric hookups. The Denby Point also has 2 group camping areas, one with 6 sites and the other with 7. Other amenities include a dump station, fish cleaning station, hot showers, boat ramp, and a swim beach.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends and a 3 night minimum stay on holidays for family standard sites. Reservations are taken from May 1, 2004 through September 30, 2004; sites are available on a first come - first serve basis before, during, and after the reservation season. The peak season for the campground is May 1-Sept. 30. Sites are $10-$12 for tent sites and $14-$16 for electric sites A park attendant operates the fee booth during the reservation season. No ATVs allowed.

From Hot Springs, AR: Take US 270 west approx. 26.5 miles to Ouachita Shore Parkway. Turn right and follow access road 1 mile north to park. From Mount Ida, AR: Take US 270 east approximately 9.5 miles to Oachita Shores Parkway. Turn left on access road 1 mile to park.
