As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. DELAWARE LAKE DAMSITE SHELTER (OH), OH

Description

Delaware Lake Damsite Picnic Shelter is located within the Day-Use-Area, beyond rest rooms and next to playground. There is one large and one small charcoal grill at the shelter. The restrooms and large playground are approximately 75 to 100 feet away. For additional information, call 740-363-4011.

Alerts and Important Information

Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted. This is a day-use facility only. Reservations made through Reserve America. Camping is not allowed in this area. Pets must be on a leash at all times. Reserving Shelter does not reserve adjacent parking, playground, or open space, and individual picnic sites. The day use area closes at 9:30pm. ATV/ORV's are prohibited. Vehicles must be parked in the parking lot. For more information, please call Delaware Lake Project office at 740-363-4011.

Delaware Dam is located approximately 4 miles north of the city of Delaware, Ohio. From areas north & South, Take I-71 to the US 36/SR 37 Sunbury/Delaware Exit (exit 131). From the north turn right into US 36/SR 37, from the south turn left onto US36/SR 37, head west to city of Delaware. At Y in road, stay right to access ramp from US 23N on the right. Go approximately 4 4 miles on US 23N. (Just beyond Railroad Underpass). Turn right at Delaware Lake Sign. Also, from areas north and south, can use US 23 directly and turn into shelter area at Delware Lake Sign.
