WEST THOMPSON LAKE (CT), CTDescriptionThe natural setting surrounding West Thompson Lake can be enjoyed year round. Pleasing views from the dam offer sightseers and photographers a panoramic view of the area. Hikers, picnickers, and visitors will discover a wide variety of natural areas to explore including a hiking trail around the lake. The campground offers 24 campsites: 11 basic, 11 with electric and water hookups, and 2 Adirondack shelters. Other campground amenities include handicapped accessible restrooms and showers, flush toilets, dump station, and public telephones. Hiking and interpretive trails, an amphitheater, and a picnic pavilion are close to the campground. A boat ramp affords boating and fishing enthusiasts access to the 200 acre lake.
