As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. DAM SITE(GREERS FERRY) (AR), ARDescription Dam Site Campground is located on Greers Ferry Lake in north central Arkansas. The environment provides the ideal location for camping, fishing, boating, hiking, and a day of family excitement. The Dam Site Campground offers 252 sites (148 with electricity and 104 non-electric). Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationCampsite Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. One (1) wheeled camping unit and two (2) tents OR four (4) tents. Campsites are limited to a maximum of eight (8) persons per site. RESERVATION SEASON IS FROM MAY 15, 2007 TO SEPTEMBER 5, 2007. CAMPING OUTSIDE OF THIS PERIOD WILL BE FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVE ONLY. Picnic shelters are available for reservation ranging from $30 to $150 per day by calling the Greers Ferry Lake Project Office at 501-362-2416. Check-in time is 5:00p.m. Check-out time is 4:00p.m. If the gatehouse is closed at the time you arrive, please go ahead to your campsite and return to the gatehouse the following morning to register.
