CRAB FLATS (CA), CA

Description

This primitive campground is an off roaders paradise, with miles of off road trails for the beginner or the experienced rider. Located 8 miles from Green Valley Lake in the San Bernardino National Forrest.

Located in the San Bernardino Mountains, near the town of Arrowbear. Campground is situated in tall pine, oak and cedar trees on a dirt road. Restrooms are provided and drinking water are provided. Campground host is on site. Off-road vehicle trails are nearby. Valley Lake is approximately six miles away. There is no overflow parking. No large RVs. This campground is for off-road vehicle oriented camping.

Alerts and Important Information

Stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel are still allowed. Check with the local Ranger Station for current fire restrictions
  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
  • 3 night minimum for holiday weekends.
    Maximum 2 vehicles per site, depending on spur length (no other extra vehicles allowed).
  • A fee for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground,
  • Due to washouts (potholes) access road to the campground is very narrow and may not accept large RV'S.
  • Camping fee includes entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle.
  • Quiet hours 10pm to 6am.
  • This campground is a staging area for ATV/OHV'S.
  • Gas, jellied petroleum and pressurized liquid fuel stoves are allowed in campground.
  • Driving Alert - you will be going through a 12 foot wide and 2 feet deep stream to get to the campground.
  • Trailers, 5th Wheels and Motorhomes over 28 feet not recommended.

    Take Freeway to 330 North. Go through Running Springs and Arrowbear, CA, to Green Valley Road. Turn left, go approximately 4 miles to Crab Flats Campground sign at Forestry dirt road. Turn left and go 4-1/2 miles to the campground.
