COWHIDE COVE (AR), AR

Description

Cowhide Cove Campground is located on Lake Greeson. The lake is approximately 12 miles long with 7260 surface acres of water for fishing, skiing, boating, and other water sports. Bald eagles are an attraction for visitors each winter. In the campground, there is a short nature trail for naturalists and birders to enjoy. The campground offers 50 sites, 48 with electric hookups. Other amenities include a dump station, hot showers, a boat ramp, a playground, and a swim beach.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. 2 nights minimum on weekends. 3 nights minimum on holidays.
    There is no water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground.
    Off-Road Recreational Vehicles (ORV) are prohibited in recreational areas, unless loaded on a trailer or in a vehicle. Loading and unloading of ORV(s) is allowed in designated areas only.
    During the reservation season which begins 05 MAY and ends 30 SEPTEMBER, campsites that are not included in the reservation system maybe available for first come - first serve campers.

    From Texarkana, I-30 east (46 miles) to Prescott, AR Hwy 19 north to Murfreesboro (30 miles), AR 27 north (9 miles) to Cowhide Cove Access Road, west on Access Road (2 miles) to campground.

    From Hot Springs, west on US 70 (41 miles) to Kirby, AR 27 south (5 miles) to Cowhide Cove Access Road, west on Access Road (2 miles) to campground.
