FIREWOOD ALERT!: Leave Your Firewood At Home! We need your help to protect our forests! A firewood quarantine has been established for much of the state of Virginia. In general, firewood can harbor insect pests under the bark and in the wood. The transport of infested firewood has been identified as a leading cause in the introduction of harmful forest insects into un-infested forest areas. The best way to prevent a new infestation of these invasive pests is to get your firewood AFTER arrival. Help us keep our parks pest free by leaving your firewood at home!

Description

Cotton Hill Campground is located on Walter F. George Lake on the Georgia/Alabama border. Enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and the Chattahoochee River. Whether you want to get away for a week, a weekend, or just an afternoon, the lake offers the right atmosphere for all camping, outdoor and water-related activities.

The Cotton Hill Campground has 104 sites total, 94 sites with electric and water hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, a fish cleaning station, laundry facilities, hot showers, a boat ramp, 2 playgrounds, 1 group shelter.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. Gates open at 7:00 am ET and closes at 10:00 pm ET. Attendants are on duty. The campground telephone number is 229-768-3061.
