COLLEGIATE PEAKS (CO), CO

Description

Located eleven miles west of Buena Vista, Colorado. Campground is situated along the Middle Cottonwood Creek, near the top of Cottonwood Pass. Setting is heavily wooded with aspen and ponderosa pine trees. Elevation 9,800 feet. Restrooms are provided. Two vehicles per site. No electric hook-ups or showers. First come, first serve sites are available.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends. This campground has first-come, first-served sites. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. No showers A $5 fee for each extra vehicle will be collected at the campground. Limited water available - no water hookups Maximum 8 persons per site (except for group campgrounds) Quiet Hours 10 pm to 6 am Check in : 2 pm checkout is 12 pm

From Buena Vista, CO, take Highway 306. At light, go west for 11 miles toward Cottonwood Pass. Campground is located on the left-hand side of the road. Highway 306 is paved on east side of Cottonwood Pass.
