During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. COCHRANE (AL), ALDescriptionCochrane Campground is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway south of Aliceville, Alabama. . Cochrane Campground has 60 sites with electric and water hookups. . Quiet solitude and breathtaking vistas of the bluffs on the waterway will keep you coming back again and again to this campground. Fishing for bass, catfish, and crappie on Gainesville Lake out from the campground is a popular activity for customers. Approximately 2 miles from the Hyuck Bridge, turn right at the sign for the Cochrane Recreation Area. Follow the paved road approximately 2 miles. The campground is located to the left.
