New Policy for Lake Lavon Parks: As of March 16th, 2009 the U.S Army Crops of Engineers Lavon Lake will no longer be issuing or renting out sporting equipment such as volleyballs, nets, etc. For more information please call Lavon Lake HQ at (972) 442-3141. CLEAR LAKE (TX), TXDescriptionClear Lake Campground at Lavon Lake is just 45 minutes outside of Dallas, TX and 5 miles south of Princeton. Visitors both young and young at heart enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. Camping, fishing, boating, biking, and picnicking are all favorite past times. The Clear Lake Campground offers 23 sites with water and electric hook ups. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a boat launch, and a group picnic shelter. A 35' X 50'group shelter accommodating 200 people is available for reservation for $100/day from 10 am to 10 am the following day. The shelter has 12-6ft tables 1 Large cooker, 3 small cookers, fire ring, electricity, water, restrooms and a large open area for organized sports or games. Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important Information* Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holidays. * Gate Attendants are on duty for after hour emergencies. CCSO Lake Patrol will respond to all emergency situations.The campground is open April-September and sites are $18/night.
