Clackamas Lake is suitable for wildlife viewing, fishing and non-motorized boating. It is about 3 miles away from Timothy Lake. Timothy Lake has opportunities for day use: boating, swimming, fishing. The Historic Clackamas Lake Ranger Station is located 1/2 mile away on Road 42, and has maps, guided tours and other area information.The first 19 sites at Clackamas Lake Campground are available for horse use. For additional campground and area recreation information, visit the Mt. Hood National Forest website at www.fs.fed.us/r6/ mthood. There is an extra vehicle fee of 50% of the site fee for additional vehicles. Extra vehicle fee is charged for any vehicle (motorhome or passenger vehicle) that is not towed in with the first vehicle.

Turn right on Skyline Road (Road 42) and travel South for 10 miles to Clackamas Lake entrance sign. Turn left, travel East 1/4 mile to campground entrance.
