As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. Description

Choctaw Campground is located on Greers Ferry Lake in north central Arkansas. The environment provides the ideal location for camping, fishing, boating, hiking, and a day of family excitement. The Choctaw Campground offers 146 sites, 78 with electric hook ups. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, reserveable picnic shelter, a boat launch, a playground, a swimming area, a public marina, and public telephones. Choctaw Park is open from April 1, 2007 to November 1, 2007.
RESERVATION SEASON IS FROM MAY 15 TO SEPTEMBER 5. CAMPING OUTSIDE OF THIS PERIOD WILL BE FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVE ONLY.

Alerts and Important Information

Site closures for 2009 camping season Due to the extremely high lake levels during the summer of 2008, sites in "D" camping loop will be closed for repairs through September 2009 to ensure public safety. "D" area sites 1 through 13 will be closed to reservations and walk-in camping while repairs are in progress. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. Your Safety, Our Concern

Attendants are on duty and. Check in time is 5pm and checkout time is 4pm.

  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
  • One (1) wheeled camping unit and two (2) tents OR four (4) tents.
  • Campsites are limited to a maximum of eight (8) persons per site.
  • ATV's, golf carts or off-road vehicles are prohibited.
  • Check-in time is 5:00p.m. Check-out time is 4:00p.m.

If the gatehouse is closed at the time you arrive, please go ahead to your campsite and return to the gatehouse the following morning to register.
