CEDAR CANYON (UT), UTDescriptionLocated eleven miles east of Cedar City, Utah, Cedar Canyon Campground is situated next to Crow Creek at an elevation of 8,100 feet and is forested, with shade in most units. Cedar Canyon is conveniently close to Cedar City, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and the 34-mile Virgin River Rim Trail open to hiking, mountain biking, and horses. A network of trails in the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness is close by also. Roads and spurs are paved. Firewood is sold by the bundle, and may be purchased from the camp host. Culinary water is piped from a spring. Two vault toilet restrooms are provided. No showers. No hookups for RVs. Other nearby attractions include Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationFor single units, the first vehicle is free and the second vehicle is 1/2 the single unit fee; for double units, the first two vehicles are free, subsequent vehicles are 1/2 the single unit fee, per vehicle. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends. Pets must be leashed. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Advance reservations may be made 180 days before arrival for family single sites, and 360 days before arrival for group sites. ATV POLICY: Cedar Canyon campground is closed to operating and/or unloading of ATVs. ATVs may be hauled into and out of the campground on a trailer, but cannot be unloaded or ridden within the campground. Getting There:Cedar Canyon (UT)DIXIE UT GPS Info.
