CARTER COVE (AR), AR

Description

Carter Cove Campground is located at Nimrod Lake, cradled between the Ouachita and Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, Nimrod Lake harbors crappie, large mouth bass, bream, catfish and white bass. Nimrod Lake is located adjacent to a National Scenic Byway, State Highway 7. Carter Cove Campground provides 34 sites with electric and water hook ups. Additional amenities include a picnic shelter, hot showers, boat launch ramp, dump station, playground, swimming area, and public telephones.

Alerts and Important Information

Park is open all year.
Reservation season is from March 15 to October 25. Camping outside of this period will be first-come first-serve only.
Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
Attendants are on duty from 8 am-8 pm.
Check in time is 3 pm and check out is 1 pm.
No ATV's, ORV's, firearms, or livestock allowed.
All pets must be caged or secured on a leash no more than 6 feet in length.
There is a limit of 2 units per camp pad, either (2 tents) or (1 wheeled unit and 1 tent).
