As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. Description

Cages Bend Campground is located on Old Hickory Lake near Trinity City and Metropolitan Nashville, TN. It is also conveniently close to Opryland, USA

Shopping, grocery stores, gas stations, and a marina are also located near the campground. Visitors here mostly enjoy lake fishing and water skiing. An abundance of wildlife can be seen in the area including migratory songbirds, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, squirrels, rabbits, and snakes. The campground offers 43 sites with electric and water hook ups. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a boat launch, and laundry facilities.

  • Campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends.
  • Campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holidays.
  • The campground is open April 2-October 30, 2008 and sites are $19-23/night.
  • This campground now has 50/30/20 amp electrical pedestals on 12 sites.
  • The site numbers are 1, 2, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17.

North of Nashville, TN, on I-65 exit onto Vietnam Veterans Blvd E, follow until it rejoins Gallatin Road (Hwy 31E), once on Gallatin Road, turn right onto Cages Bend Rd S, turn left onto Benders Ferry Rd. Follow signs into campground.
