Description

Located approximately 7 miles west of Monticello, UT in the Abajo Mountains. Campground is situated at an elevation of 8900 feet amid aspen and Gambel oak trees. Summer temperatures range from 75-85 degrees during the day and 50-60 degrees at night. Mule deer, wild turkeys, and black bears frequent the area. There are no hookups, but drinking water and vault toilets are provided. Firewood may be collected in and around the campground. Popular activities include fishing, hiking, and riding ATV trails. Other attractions in the area include Canyonlands, Arches, and Mesa Verde National Parks, Dark Canyon Wilderness, Edge of the Cedars State Park, and Lake Powell, as well as numerous archaeological sites.
