This is a boat-in camp. It is accessible only by water. Special regulations apply. Requirements to launch: Boater must carry a bail bucket, throw line, extra oar, and must wear a life jacket while on the water. The Forest Service requires the use of portable toilet systems for all campers. These toilets must be sealable, flushable, and reusable. Bag-lined systems are not allowed. An additional pass is required. Program, it states each vehicle must display a Recreation Fee Pass outside of the campground if using other recreational facilities (e.g. boat ramps, picnic areas, and day-use areas). A daily pass is $2; a 16-day pass is $5; and an annual is $20. Passes can be purchased from the Forest Service, campground managers, and local businesses. The holder of a Golden Passport will not be required to purchase a recreation fee pass if displayed on the dash of the vehicle.

From Vernal, UT, take US Highway 191 north 45 miles. After crossing the Flaming Gorge Dam, turn right on road leading to upper launch site at Spillway Boat Ramp. A second boat launch is located seven miles further down the Green River at Little Hole Boat Ramp. Cross the dam and continue to the town of Dutch John. Turn right off US Highway 191 and go east on Forest Road 075 for about six miles. The site is 8.4 miles below Spillway and 1.2 miles below Little Hole.

From Rock Springs, WY, take US Highway 191 south 63 miles. Just before the dam, turn left on the road leading to Spillway. For Little Hole, go to Dutch John and turn left off Highway 191, then go east on Forest Road 075 for about six miles.
