Big Pine Equestrian Group Campground (CA), CA

Description

Located in the mountains in a pine forest at an elevation of 6820 feet. Accessible portable toilets, trash collection, water, and 4 horse corrals are provided. Nearest showers are at Serrano Campground. There are markets and restaurants in Fawnskin 7 miles away. Popular activities are hiking, biking, target shooting, and OHV trails nearby. Alerts and Important Information

Effective September 1, 2009, through the end of the official 2009 fire season. All wood and charcoal fires are prohibited in all developed campgrounds , day use areas , and all other developed areas
Stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel are still allowed. Check with the local Ranger Station for current fire restrictions
  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
  • No refunds for bad weather. Availability of water is limited. Please fill up trailers/RV's before coming to the campground.
  • No extra vehicles allowed.
  • ORV's/ATV's or unlicensed vehicles allowed on roads and spurs only at speeds of under 5 mph.

    Take I-10 East State Highway 330 to Running Springs. State Highway 18 to Big Bear Lake Dam State Highway 38. Do not cross the dam. Go straight on State Highway 38 to Fawnskin. Go through Fawnskin on Hwy 38 continue to Van Dusen Cyn (3N09), turn left. Take 3N09 and drive approximately 4 miles until you get to a "T" in the road. Go left (will turn into 3N16). Continue on 3N16 until you come to a "T" in the road. Make a right and follow road to campground. Approximately 8.3 miles.
