BLACK LAKE (WI), WIDescriptionBlack Lake is 129 acre lake with muskie, large mouth bass, northern and pan fish. There is a 4 mile Black Lake Trail that starts in the campground and walks you around the Lake. The campground has a beach and two boat landings within the campground. This site is near the elk release area. Please pets must be leashed at all times. During off-peak, reservations are not taken, but the campground is open with full services from May 1st thru Oct 27th on a first come first serve basis. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest has prohibited the possession, storage or transportation of any firewood that originates from outside the state of Wisconsin. This is to prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer and other exotic insect pests. Firewood is available at or near the campground. Alerts and Important InformationThere are no hook-ups in this campground. Your reservation confirmation notice will also serve as a parking pass at day-use parking areas in your campground. Please clearly display it on your dashboard when using parking areas in your campground. Thank you. During the off-peak, reservations are not taken, but the campground is open and all sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (CNNF) has prohibited the possession, storage or transportation of any firewood that originates from outside the state of Wisconsin or that originates from more than 25 miles from the destination point. The exception is firewood gathered on the CNNF. This is to prevent the spread the Emerald Ash Borer and other exotic insect pests.
