As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. BIRCH COVE (OK), OK

Description

Birch Cove is located at Birch Lake in in Osage County, Oklahoma approximately 1 1/2 miles south of the of the town of Barnsdall and 20 miles southwest of the city of Bartlesville. Cradled in valleys surrounded by Osage County's rolling, forested hills, Birch Lake is a perfect setting for nature lovers and other outdoor enthusiasts. The general character of the small lake's shoreline ranges from gentle to steep slopes with numerous rock outcrops. The hilltops and upper slopes are generously forested with small hardwood trees, primarily post oak, blackjack, and other oaks, hickory, hackberry, and elm.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. The campground is open year round and sites are $18/night. Check in time is 6pm and check out time is 4pm. Two group shelters are available for $80-$100/day. One shelter accomodates 100 people and 21 vehicles and the other shelter accommodates 60 people and 11 vehicles. The shelters are available 7am-6pm.
