BIG LAKE (OR), ORDescriptionSurrounded by Alpine Fir, Hemlock & Lodge Pole Pine at an elevation of 4600 ft, the campground is adjacent to Big Lake, with Mt. Washington across the lake. The campground has a boat ramp in the Day Use Area. Popular activities include: swimming, hiking, mountain climbing, fishing, boating, & water skiing. Close by are many USFS off road trails to use your all terrain vehicles. This campground has a total of 49 sites. Sites 1 - 14 are reservable and your reservation must be made at least 7 days prior to your arrival date. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 6 am. This campground has a Day Use Area - fee is $5 for those not camping at the campground. Big Lake West campground, also adjacent to Big Lake, offers 11 non-reservable large, walk-in tent sites. Call Hoodoo at 541-822-3799 for information or visit the website www.hoodoo.com. Big Lake and Big Lake West campgrounds are two separate campgrounds. Bring confirmation letter to the campground. This campground has reservable sites and first come first serve sites. Reservations must be made at least 7 days prior to your arrival date. Hoodoo does not reserve non-reservable sites that are for upon arrival. Call Hoodoo at 541-822-3799 for information or visit the website www.hoodoo.com. Site fee includes payment for the site and one vehicle. Any additional vehicles will be charged a fee of $9.00 at the campground. Maximum # of vehicles are site dependant. Extra vehicles must fit within the campsite's designated parking areas. (Latitude, Longitude): 44.3775, -121.87083 From Eugene, OR take I-105 east to McKenzie Hwy 126. Travel on 126 east 90 miles to Santiam Pass. At the top of the Pass, turn right onto access road (road sign says Hoodoo Ski Area, Big Lake Road, & Benson Sno-Park). Travel one mile to fork in road, stay left on FS Rd. 2690 for two miles.
