ANTLERS (CA), CADescriptionAntlers Campground is open year round, but reservations are only taken from May 16, 2008 to September 15, 2008.Antlers Campground has easy freeway access off interstate 5 in the community of Lakehead. This campground is on the Sacramento arm of Shasta Lake, and is heavily forested with pine trees and Manzanita. None of the sites have access to the fueling, and a small store. The nearest market and the nearest payphone are less than 1 mile away. Please visit our Website at:www.shastalakecamping.com for further information.Each site has a picnic table (two in double sites), lockers for storing food, fire rings, BBQ grills, and tent pads. Sites at this campground can accommodate both tents and trailers, however there are no electric/water hookups or dump stations for trailers. There are both flush and vault toilets at this campground. There are no showers available. On weekends during the summer there are interpretive programs hosted at the amphitheater between the campground and the boat ramp. Antlers Campground is located 25 miles north of Redding from I-5 (which crosses over Shasta Lake twice). Exit I-5 at Lakeshore Drive/Antlers Road exit in the town of Lakehead, CA. From the end of the ramp, go east at the stop sign. Turn right on Antlers Road and go about 1 mile to the campground entrance on the right.
