As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. ALBENI COVE (ID), IDDescriptionAlbeni Cove Recreation Area is located 500 yards upstream of Albeni Falls Dam on the Pend Oreille. The campground offers 14 campsites (no-hookups) situated amongst firs, cedars, and pines overlooking the Pend Oreille (pond o'ray). Other amenities include a boat ramp, swim beach, hot showers, and small picnic area. Bald eagles, osprey, a wide variety of birds, bear, deer, skunks, and porcupines may be seen in and around Albeni Cove. The boat ramp and swim beach may be closed due to high water especially during May and June.Services & Amenities:

(Latitude, Longitude): 48.17722, -116.9975 From Highway 2, in Newport, WA, turn south on Highway 41. Turn left onto 4th Street just past the overpass. Follow the paved road until it turns into a very rough dirt road. Stay on the dirt road bearing left at the fork in the road. At the power lines the road will turn back to paved.
