Description
Zip's cabin is available from June 1st through March 31st each year. The cabin is not available April 1 to May 31 each year. Zip's cabin is located 48 miles east of Hungry Horse, MT on US Highway 2. Then two miles south on a gravel county road.
During the winter months or when the road conditions are impassable, renter must park at the designated parking area and hike, snowmobile, ski, or snow snowshoe approximately 1 mile to the cabin. Please respect the adjacent owners property and do not block the driveway.
Summer (or when snow is melted and road is passable), you can drive to the cabin. Party size is limited to eight.
The property Zip's Place (cabin) sits on was originally part of a homestead granted in 1937. In 1945 the land was bought by the Kimmet family of Cut Bank, MT and in 1954 they constructed the cabin that resides there today. Zip's has rustic accomodations including vault toilet, electric stove, refrigerator, lights, electric and propane heat, pots & pans, utensils & cutlery, dishes, and cleaning items. Zip's party size is eight with two double beds and four twin beds. Please clean the cabin, empty the refrigerator and pack out what you brought including your garbage. Grizzly Bears live in the area; store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage inside the cabin. Pets are not allowed at Zip's. A small stream runs behind the cabin. The cabin is available June 1st to March 31st. Commercial use of the cabins is prohibited (outfitter guides, groups or organizations with compensated leaders/chaperones).

Alerts and Important Information
Grizzly bears live in the area, store your food, beverages, coolers,
and
garbage inside the cabin.
Pets and livestock are not allowed at the cabin.
Please "Pack it in. Pack it out." including garbage.
Reservations can be made one day in advance and there is a three night
maximum stay limit.
Clean the cabin and empty the refrigerator when you leave.
Rental fee is $50 per night.

Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather, road conditions, too
much or little snow, etc.
Check in and out time is 2pm.
The combination to the cabin will be on your letter of confirmation from
NRRS.
Please help conserve propane by minimizing the lights you have on and
keeping the thermostat to 55 when you are not in the cabin. Please refer to the over the snow motor vehicle use
maps for designated snowmobile routes and play areas.
Cabin can only be reserved up to 180 days in advance.

markers 191 and 192 on US Highway 2. Travel south 2 miles on Geifer
Creek
(Lodgepole Lane) gravel county road veering left initially. Follow the
signs to Zip's cabin. During the winter months or when the road
