WISHON SEQUOIA NATL FOREST (CA), CA

Description

This USFS campground is located about 15 miles east of Springville, CA, in the Tule Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest. A creek runs through the campground and into the nearby Tule River. There are fishing and hiking opportunities nearby. The campground is normally open year-round. Wishon Cabin (rental) is located adjacent to the campground.

  • Giant Sequoia Mercantile Now Open In Springville, CA
    The Giant Sequoia Mercantile offers a wide variety of books, maps, gifts, local art, and other merchandise that will serve to make your trip to the Monument more memorable. Beginning in mid-June 2009 - the Giant Sequoia Mercantile will also be offering a variety of camping equipment and supplies making it the perfect place to stop for those last minute items you may have left at home.

  • A second Giant Sequoia Mercantile is now open at 13247 Sierra Way in Kernville, CA - the southern gateway to the Giant Sequoia National Monument.

    Alerts and Important Information

  • This is Wishon Campground in the Sequoia National Forest, not Wishon Campground located at Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest.
  • There is a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
  • Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times.
  • Camping fees includes entry for one vehicle and one legally towed vechile. Extra vehicle fees will be collected at the campground from the campground hosts.
    No all-terrain or off-highway vehicle use in the campground.
  • No usage of chainsaws, firearms or fireworks allowed.

    From Highway 99 turn east on 190. Travel on 190 through Springville to Wishon Drive (M208). Turn left on Wishon Drive and travel about 4 miles. The entrance to Wishon Campground is on the right as the road curves to Doyle Springs.
