Description

Due to the pine beetle infestation and removal of hazard trees, there is little or no shade in the campground.

Campers must not enter the new construction area.

Please close gate at the entrance to Windy Point to keep out people who are not with tour group. This area is monitored by your campground host located in Prospector Campground (1/4 mile up the road). If you have questions or need help, please see the campground host. Restrooms are provided.

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.

  • This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.
Gate is locked. See host for access. After Labor Day, guests need to obtain the gate combination by calling the managing organization.
Campers must not enter the new construction area.

No water is available at the campground, please bring your own utility and drinking water with you.
Sites may be available on a first come - first seved basis outside the reservation season.

Lake Loop Group Site Fee Rates:
  • 01 to 50 people = $120.00
  • 51 to 100 people = $180.00

From I-70 take the Silverthorne exit 205. Travel east on Highway 6 approximately 4 miles to Swan Mountain Road. Proceed 2 miles to Swan Mountain Recreation Area. Take dirt road to campground.
