UPPER OSO CAMPGROUND (CA), CA

Description

Upper Oso Campground is located in Los Padres National Forest, CA, at the end of a public road. Activities include hiking, fishing, swimming, and biking. Trails lead north to San Rafael, a wilderness, via the Santa Cruz Trail. A wilderness trail via the Aliso loop trail leads to the Sage Hill Group Site. A ranger station is located within 2 miles.

Firewood is sold at the host site and fire rings are provided. Changes in the river level occasionally cause the campground to close in the winter.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holidays.

  • Pets must be leashed.
  • Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
  • Parking is in designated areas only.
  • No driving on grass, must stay on asphalt.
  • Only 1 vehicle is included in the camping fee.
  • A fee of $5.00 for each vehicle in excess of one per site will be collected at the campground.
  • Off-highway vehicles must stay on designated roads.
  • There is a limit of 2 tents per camp pad.
  • Maximum 8 people per site.
  • No campfires.
  • No Charcoal Grills
  • Propane and stoves ok
