Description

Trillium Lake Campground is located 40 miles southeast of Portland, on the Mount Hood National Forest at 3600 feet of elevation. It is known for its surrounding scenery and recreational opportunities. Boating, fishing and swimming are popular activities at this lakeshore campground. The campground has some accessible sites. A 2-mile long barrier free trail circles the lake. Other trails are easy to reach from Trillium Lake Campground. Timberline Lodge, a National Historic Landmark on Mt Hood, is located within 10 miles of the campground. The campground has piped water and vault toilets. Sites listed as non-reservable are first-come, first-serve sites.
If Trillium Lake is full, Still Creek Campground is a nearby choice. It is approximately 2 miles away, approximately 1 mile away on Hwy 26, approximately 1 mile east of Government Camp.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
  • This campground has first-come, first-serve sites.
  • No ATV's or ORV's allowed.
  • Pets must be on a leash.
  • Quiet hours are between 10:00 pm - 6:00 am.
  • Fires in fire circle only.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks in campground.
  • Only non-motorized boats are allowed on Trillium Lake.
  • Maximum of 6 people and 2 vehicles per single site; Maximum of 12 people and 4 vehicles per double site.
  • Vehicles must be parked on the spur.
  • Campground must be occupied the first night.
  • PICNIC SHELTER:
    The $65.00 fee includes 4 reserved parking sites in proximity to the shelter in the day use area.
  • AMPHITHEATRE:
    Cost: $80.00, Includes Amphitheater and one night in sites 12-A and 12- B. Two vehicles may be parked in each of the reserved campsites, included in the day use fee. Exclusive use cannot be guaranteed for the renters.
  • ONLY for picnic shelter and amphitheatre other vehicles park on first- come, first served basis at $6.00 per day. It is best for groups to carpool from the Trillium Lake snow park on Hwy 26 as parking is limited in the day use area. Call managers at 503 272 3068 to arrange for day use parking.
    Camping fee pays for 1 vehicle per single site and 2 vehicles per double site. An extra vehicle fee of 50% of the cost of a single site will be collected at the campground for extra vehicles (2nd vehicles in single sites, 3rd and 4th vehicles in double sites).

    Located 40 miles southeast of Portland on Highway 26, turn right 1 mile east of Government Camp. Travel 2 miles, campground entrance sign on right hand side of road.
