TREE OF HEAVEN CAMPGROUND (CA), CA

Description

The Tree of Heaven Campground lies at 2,100 feet elevation. It is located 4 miles from I-5 on Highway 96 and is adjacent to the Klamath Wild and Scenic River. Visitors can access the Klamath River from the campground. The campground has 21 sites, river access, a 1/4 mile interpretive trail and a large group day use area with a volley ball net, barbeque and horseshoe pit. Sites can be reserved between mid May and mid October. The Happy Camp Ranger District, 530-493-2243, can be contacted for information about local conditions and recreational activities in the area.

Alerts and Important Information

The Tree of Heaven campsites are designed for a maximum of 6 people. They feature: picnic tables & fire rings with grills and access to double accessible vault toilets, garbage pickup, and scattered potable water faucets. The group day use area features a group BBQ, picnic tables, horseshoe pit and volleyball net. This group site is available on a first come, first served basis.

NOTE: Address listed above is not the physical address of the campground, it is the mailing address for the ranger station. DIRECTION TO CAMPGROUND: From Interstate 5 take exit 786 for Highway 96 - Klamath River Highway. Follow Highway 96 for 4 miles until you see the sign for Tree of Heaven Campground. Turn left into the campground on road 46N90.
