From Highway 15, take Santaquin exit 244, go east under freeway and turn south. Follow road into Santaquin Canyon (Forest Road 14) for 6.5 miles to the campground. The road is paved but steep and narrow. Alternate Routes for accessing Tinney Flat: 1) Mt Nebo Scenic Loop, from the North: From Payson, take the Nebo Scenic Loop road south approximately 12-13 miles to the Santaquin Canyon turn-off. Follow the Santaquin Canyon dirt road west approx. 6-8 miles to Tinney Flat campground. 2) Mt Nebo Scenic Loop, from the South: From Nephi Canyon, take the Nebo Scenic Loop road north approximately 22-23 miles to the Santaquin Canyon turn-off. Follow the Santaquin Canyon dirt road west approx. 6-8 miles to Tinney Flat campground. There is one tight curve on the dirt road, just above Tinney Flat. Not recommended for Trailers if you're unfamiliar with the road.
