TIMPOONEKE (UT), UTDescriptionTimpooneke Campground is located in a mountainous area next to the Mt. Timpanogos Wilderness. Aspen, spruces and fir trees are the dominant tree species. Drinking water and vault toilets are available. Hiking is a popular activity. No ATV's/OHV's allowed in campground. Campers must have a recreation pass before camping. Three-day passes are $6 per vehicle, Seven day passes are $12 per vehicle, and annual passes are $45 per vehicle. Passes are available at entrance stations located on either side of the Alpine Scenic Loop or 3 day passes can be purchased at self service fee tubes located at major trailheads.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationRecreation pass will be sold at the Fee station and vehicle fee will be collected on-site. Highway 92 has a vehicle length restriction of 30 feet over the Alpine Scenic Loop, the Timpooneke Campground is on the Alpine Scenic Loop. Pets must be leashed. Gates are locked from 10pm to 7am. No discharge of firearms or fireworks A per day extra vehicle fee will be collected on site.. This park has first come, first served sites. (Latitude, Longitude): 40.435, -111.63667 From Salt Lake City, Utah, take Highway 15 to the Alpine-Highland exit (exit 284) and go east on Highway 92 for 5 miles to the junction of Highway 92 and the North Fork of American Fork Canyon.
