Description

Table Mountain is located in eastern Sierra, 18 miles southwest of the town of Bishop, California. Facilities provided include restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings. Firewood is for sale on site. There are stores, marinas, restaurants, and pack stations available in the canyon area. South Fork and Bishop Creek are located adjacent to the campground. This is a stocked trout stream. Popular activities include fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing. This campground is located near the John Muir Wilderness trailheads.

Alerts and Important Information

This is the Table Mountain located in the Inyo National Forest near Bishop, California. It is not the Table Mountain in the Angeles National Forest near Wrightwood. Is this the campground you're requesting? Tent camping only. No RV overnight camping in the parking lot. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. CAUTION: Bears frequent this area. All food must be kept in approved containers. There are 2 bear proof lockers available to store food. Please bring your own drinking water. There is no potable water.
