SOUTH RUBY CAMPGROUND (NV), NV

Description

Located in northeast Nevada, 75 miles southwest of the town of Wells. Elevation is 6,000 feet. Sites are sheltered by pinion pine and juniper trees. View of Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Limited supplies are available 11 miles north of campground. Facilities include a fish cleaning station. There is deer hunting on adjacent lands. No discharge of firearms or fireworks.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Maximum 2 vehicles per site. Pets must be leashed. Quiet hours 10pm to 6am. A fee of $5.00 for extra vehicles will be collected at the park.

Take I-80 to US 93 south. Exit at Wells and follow US 93 for 30 miles to SR 229. Follow SR 229 for 15 miles then head south on SR 767 and County Road 788 for 30 miles to the campground.
