This is a Day-use area. There is no overnight camping allowed. Vehicles are not permited off roadways. A day use park host is available to assist visitors with park information. Smith Springs Day Use has one picnic shelter available for reservations. *Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.* The recreation area is open April 01 to October 30 and the shelter fee is $40/day for up to 50 people. The shelter can accommodate up to 12 vehicles and 50 people. However, the reservation is for the shelter only, not parking. Arrive early and carpool as much as possible. Prohibited items include alcohol, ATV's, ORV's, and items such as public address systems and amusement rides. Activities other than picnicking activities must be approved by the Resource Manager and may require a Special Event Permit. Pets are required to be on a leash at all times. Vehicles are not permitted off roadways and must be parked in designated spaces. Smith Springs does not give rain checks nor do they give refunds for inclement weather.
