Description

Campground located at 7100' in open pine, mountain canyon setting. Highway 4 becomes steep uphill, narrow and winding at campground. Pacific Crest Trailhead is 1/4 mile east of Ebbetts Pass (8731') and 3 miles west of campground. Campground has paved roads and spurs with vault toilets. Each site has table and firering. Firewood may be purchased from campground manager. Roadside picnic table available. Some 1st-come, 1st served campsites may be available. Each site has table, fire ring, and bear box.

*This campground has first-come, first-served sites* Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance. A per day per vehicle fee will be collected at the campground for extra vehicles beginning with the 2nd vehicle. CAUTION: Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers. Opening dates may be affected by snow. No refunds are given for bad weather. This is Silver Creek near Markleeville, CA in the Toiyabe National Forest. Is this the campground you are requesting?
