Description

Seven Points Campground is located on beautiful J. Percy Priest Lake, seven miles east of Nashville and close to the Hermitage, the historic home of President Andrew Jackson. Seven Points is one of the most visited Corps of Engineers campgrounds in the nation. A day-use area is available within 1 mile offering picnic areas and group picnic shelters. The campground offers 60 overnight sites with water and electric hook-ups. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a boat launch, swimming area, laundry facilities, and public telephones.

Alerts and Important Information

For the 2009 season, the campground is open April 1 at 8 am until October 29 at 2 pm. Camping fees are $20 - $24 / night. Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance for family sites.

Camping equipment is limited to two tents, or one RV and one tent, per campsite. All camping equipment must be on the impact area or pullout.

Vehicles may park in developed areas only, and only 2 vehicles are allowed per site. Camper occupancy is limited to 8 people maximum per site. Visitors to campers will be charged a $3 fee per vehicle and must be out of the campground by 10 pm.

Campground quiet hours are in effect from 10 pm until 6 am. The cutting of standing trees for firewood is prohibited. No ATVs or ORVs allowed.

CAUTION:Skunks frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers.

At the day use area, group picnic shelters are reservable April 2 to October 30, excluding major holidays. Fees are $40 per day for up to 50 people; $80 per day for 51 to 100 people. No more than 100 people may use shelter #1. However, shelter #2 is available for $120/day for 101 to 150 people. No more than 150 people may use shelter #2. The shelters close at 7:00 pm.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance for picnic shelters.

Alcohol is prohibited at the day-use area. Items such as public address systems and amusement rides are not allowed. Activities other than picnicking activities must be approved by the Resource Manager and may require a Special Event Permit.
