SENECA SHADOWS (WV), WV

Description

Overlooking Seneca Rocks and surrounded by mountains on both the east and west, Seneca Shadows is truly a wilderness escape. Hiking and nature study at Seneca Rocks are just a couple popular activities in the area. There is also the nearby North Fork River where fishing is a popular past time. There are also two local caves for ambitious explorers.

Firewood is available for sale at the campground. Check with local authorities for fire conditions.

Reservations for Seneca Shadows are available April through October. They can be made up to 6 months in advance but they must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.

  • Tents must be on pads provided.
  • A per day per vehicle fee will be collected on-site for each extra vehicles after the 2nd vehicle for a single sites, and the 4th vehicle for a double site.
  • Please check in with campground host upon arrival.
  • No refunds are given for bad weather.
  • All pets must be leashed.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. through to 6:00 a.m.
  • This campground has first-come, first-served sites.
  • Tents must fit on the 13 x14 foot tent pads. No tents or bedrolls allowed on the grass.

*The discount passport fee for electric sites is calculated on 1/2 the use fee plus the electric fee. The electric fee is not discounted.

From Winchester, West Virginia, take Highway 50 approximately 50 miles to intersection with highway 28 about 50 miles to intersection with highway 33. Entrance is 1 mile south of intersection on the right.

From Elkins, West Virginia, take Highway 33 approximately 35 miles to intersection with Highway 28 entrance is 1 mile south of Seneca Rocks on the right.
