RESURRECTION RIVER CABIN (AK), AK

Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, a stove for heat, and an outhouse. Mattresses or cooking utensils are not provided. Cabin users should bring their own sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, cooking gear and food.

Occasionally poor weather can result in extended stays, and cabin users should be prepared for this.

Effective November 17, 2003, reservations for Alaska cabins will be subject to a new policy allowing only one change per reservation. A change in reservation is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation. After one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the reservation and at a later time, re-book the new dates. This policy has been established to assure that reservations for cabins are fair and equitable for everyone.

This cabin is closed until further notice due to flooding. Same day reservations are allowed for this cabin. Please contact the local Forest Service Ranger District office for information prior to making reservations during winter. Ice and water overflow causes ice buildup and difficult travel conditions. Winter travel is not recommended. Exit Glacier Road not maintained in the winter. Trail only maintained from Exit Glacier Road trailhead to the cabin, 6.5 miles. Primitive trail next 11 miles to junction of Russian Lakes trail. Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, a stove for heat, and an outhouse. Summer: Access trail by Resurrection River Trailhead, milepost 11.5 Exit Glacier Road. Hike 6.5 miles to short spur trail, .5 miles to the cabin.

Winter: Access trail by Resurrection River Trailhead, milepost 4 Exit Glacier Road. Hike 7 miles of unmaintained/unplowed road to trailhead. Then hike 6 miles to short spur trail, .5 miles to the cabin.
