Description

This USFS campground is located about 50 miles east of Springville, CA, in the Tule Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest. There are fishing and hiking opportunities nearby. Trail of 100 Giants is nearby. Approximate season dates are 5/15 to 11/01.

  • Giant Sequoia Mercantile Now Open In Springville, CA
    The Giant Sequoia Mercantile offers a wide variety of books, maps, gifts, local art, and other merchandise that will serve to make your trip to the Monument more memorable. Beginning in mid-June 2009 - the Giant Sequoia Mercantile will also be offering a variety of camping equipment and supplies making it the perfect place to stop for those last minute items you may have left at home.

    A second Giant Sequoia Mercantile is now open at 13247 Sierra Way in Kernville, CA - the southern gateway to the Giant Sequoia National Monument.

    Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
  • There is a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
  • The camping fee allows entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle. A fee of $5.00 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground. Maximum 2 vehicles per site.
  • Quiet hours 10pm to 6am.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times.
  • All equipment must fit on the site pad.
  • Vehicles park in developed areas only.
  • No all-terrain or off-highway vehicle use in the campground.
  • No usage of chainsaws, firearms or fireworks allowed.
  • CAUTION: Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers.

    From Highway 99 turn east on J22. Travel on J22 through California Hot Springs to the "T" intersection and turn left on M50. Travel on M50, 10 miles. Turn left at M107 and travel approximately 4 more miles to the campground entrance on the right.
