PIONEER (WA), WADescriptionLocated in northeast Washington on the Pend Oreille River, Pioneer Campground is surrounded by a variety of trees including, ponderosa pine, white pine, hemlock and grand fir trees. There is an interpretive nature trail and a boat launch area for campers to use. Activities include hiking, swimming, fishing and boating. Day use picnic facilities are also available.Pioneer campground is opened from mid-May through Labor Day. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance, but must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date. Services & Amenities:
