PINEKNOT (CA), CA

Description

Pinkeknot Campground is located in the San Bernardino mountains near Big Bear Lake. At an elevation of 6,900 feet the campground is situated in a fir, pine and oak forest setting. Popular activities include sight-seeing, shopping, mountain biking, hiking and fishing. A marina and water recreation areas are five miles from the campground.

Alerts and Important Information

Effective September 1, 2009, through the end of the official 2009 fire season. All wood and charcoal fires are prohibited in all developed campgrounds , day use areas , and all other developed areas
Stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel are still allowed. Check with the local Ranger Station for current fire restrictions
  • Reservations must be made at least 1 days in advance.
  • 3 night minimum required for holiday weekends.
  • Camping fee includes entry for 1 vehcile and 1 legally towed vehicle.
  • A fee for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
  • Quite hours 10pm to 6am.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times.
  • Gas, jellied petroleum and pressurized liquid fuel stoves are allowed in campground.

    Take 215 Freeway from Highway 330 to the Highland Avenue/Mountain Resort turnoff to it's end. Turn left on Highland and follow to Big Bear Lake. Turn right at Dam and follow Highway 18. Turn onto Summit Blvd. until you reach block wall and make left to campground.
